Ideal for those who want to see Wat Rong Khun (White temple) on a day tour from Chiang Mai. The tour will also take in Wat Rong Sear Tean (Blue Temple), Baan Dam (The Black House Museum) and the Karen Long Neck hill tribe.
TOUR DESCRIPTION
This one day tour to Chiang Rai will take you north out of the city and across the mountains to our first stop Mae Kha Jan Hot springs. This halfway point between Chiang Mai and Wat Rong Khun is a good place to take a break from the drive, grab a coffee and to boil some eggs in the hot spring water. The drive will continue towards the stunning Wat Rong Khun often named The White Temple due do its dazzling white colour inlaid with mirrored glass. The next stop with is at the unique, blue themed, Wat Rong Sear (Blue Temple). Our last stop before lunch will be at Baan Dam (Black House Museum). The Black House museum consists of a number of interestingly crafted buildings set on pleasant open grounds. The buildings contain an eclectic collection of ornaments and artefacts. Lunch will be provided before driving to The Karen Long Neck village to see this fascinating Karen ethnic group from Myanmar. At the end of the day, you will make the drive back to Chiang Mai and be transferred to your Chiang Mai hotel.

This is a Full day tour and we will provide lunch.
You are touring in a hot climate wear comfortable cool attire. Shorts and t shirt or similar clothing are good for this tour. Rain is possible at any time of the year but more likely during the rainy season months of May to October - bring a light weight rain coat during these months. There are only short brief walks on this tour and sandal type footwear is OK.
On this tour you will be visiting Buddhist temples. Respectful dress is always appreciated. For dress we suggest the following:
Please wear a shirt which covers the shoulders and reaches the waist (a t shirt will be fine!) For leg ware at least knee length shorts or skirt should be worn.
There are no opportunities to swim on this tour. No swim wear is required
