The stunning Doi Inthanon is the Premiere National Park of Northern Thailand and is home to the country’s highest mountain, various hill tribe villages and remarkable fauna and flora.
TOUR DESCRIPTION
Your adventure will begin as your guide and driver pick you up at your hotel in the morning. Our first visit will be at Wat Prathat Sri Chom Tong, located a few kilometres before the entrance to the national park. This is an important temple housing several Buddhist relics. We will then drive towards the summit of Doi Inthanon, the highest peak in Thailand. On route, you will make a stop at the King and Queen Chedis, where you will appreciate the spectacular views over the park. You will get to see two of the parks most spectacular cascading waterfalls (Wachiritharn and Siritharn), as well as a Karen hill tribe village and the Royal project research station. You will also embark in a refreshing nature walk. This trek will happen at an altitude of about 2500 meters during which you will see unique flora and fauna as well as enjoy the cool air that this natural setting offers. On the way down Doi Inthanon, you will be escorted to the local Hmong hill tribe market where you will be able to buy and sample produce grown within the national park.
On Saturday we will pass the Sanpatong Buffalo Market. Please let us know if you would like to stop by and see this colourful local livestock market, there is no extra charge but you will need to be prepared to leave a little earlier at 07:00 am. Please let us know on the booking form.
